The Direct installer from the website is free forever and comes from GitHub Releases — recommended for most users. The Microsoft Store version is a supporter channel with identical features. China-region cloud mirrors are a fallback and may lag behind.
Architecture: most Intel / AMD PCs choose x64; Surface Pro X and Snapdragon laptops choose ARM64. If unsure, check "System type" in system information.
What's the difference between the Store and open-source versions?
